Overview

If your club's doors run on UniFi Access (Ubiquiti's door access system), SportyPlus can drive them from your bookings:

• every player on a paid booking gets a door PIN that works only on the doors to their court, and only around the time they booked
• club staff can unlock a door from Club Admin
• an entrance door can serve all courts, so everyone with a booking gets through it

The PIN is the member's entry code — the same code your club already shows in the app and in booking reminder emails. Members don't need to learn a new code for each booking.

What you need

• A UniFi console running UniFi Access, such as a UDM-Pro or a Cloud Key, with your door hubs and readers adopted and working. SportyPlus was tested with UniFi OS 5.1, UniFi Access 4.3 and UniFi Network 10.6.
• Owner or admin access to that console, both to set up a VPN client in UniFi Network and to create an API token in UniFi Access.
• A keypad reader that accepts PINs, such as a G3 Intercom or a G2/G3 Reader Pro, on every door members should open with a code.

How it fits together

UniFi Access only answers on your club's own network. Ubiquiti's cloud does not pass it through, so SportyPlus can't reach it over the internet the way it reaches Shelly Cloud. Instead, your console opens a small VPN tunnel to SportyPlus:

1. Your console dials out to SportyPlus with WireGuard. Nothing is opened on your router, and it works even when the console sits behind another router, which is common.
2. Through that tunnel, SportyPlus talks to UniFi Access on your console, and to nothing else on your network. Your console's firewall rule allows only that one port.
3. You give SportyPlus an API token from UniFi Access. It lets SportyPlus read your doors, add visitors with PINs and unlock doors.
4. In Club Admin you connect the console, match each door to the courts it serves, and turn on door PINs.

Your console enforces every PIN itself, so a member still gets in with their code even if your internet, or ours, is down when they arrive.

Setting it up

Do these in order. Each one needs the one before it.

1. Connect the VPN — download your club's WireGuard file from Club Admin, import it on the console, and allow SportyPlus through its firewall.
2. Create an API token in UniFi Access.
3. Set it up in Club Admin — the console address, the token, your doors and courts, and door PINs.
