Getting started

First-week setup

The order to set up a new club in, from club details to the first booking.

Work through these steps in order. Each one depends on the step before it: prices are set per membership, memberships need courts, and online payments need your company details.

Fill in your club's details

In Club Admin → General, upload your logo, check the club name and choose the club's language. Under Club status, check the Sports you offer and your Primary sport, and pick your Club type (Club, Academy or League). Add your contact details, social links and address.

General →

Add your company details

In Club Admin → Business → Company info, enter your legal company name, tax ID and bank account. They appear on invoices and are needed to take payments. Check Currency and Timezone while you're there.

Company info →

Add your locations (only if you have more than one site)

If the club runs more than one site, add each one under Club Admin → Locations and put each court at its site. A club with one site can skip this step: it is shown at its own address.

Locations →

Set up your courts

Courts are created in the member app: open the App tab, then Court management. For each court, set its name, sport, surface, whether it is indoor, and how long a booking is.

Courts →

Create your memberships

Every booking is priced by membership, so create your plans before you set prices. Every club needs a basic membership, which everyone without another plan gets — usually called "Guest" or "Non-member". Then add your paid plans, such as Adult, Junior and Senior.

Memberships →

Set court prices

For each court, open Prices and enter the price per membership and time of day. If you also want a printed price list on the booking page, build it under Settings → Price list. That list is for display only and doesn't change what bookings cost.

Court prices →

Decide your booking rules

Settings → Reservations decides who can book (for example, whether non-members can) and how: single or partner bookings, the waitlist, a two-hour limit. How far ahead each member can book and cancel is set per membership.

Booking rules →

Connect payments

Choose a provider under Business → Payment gateway and complete its setup. For most clubs that's Stripe. Then turn on Enable online payment under Settings → Payments.

Payments →

Publish your terms and sign-up rules

Create your terms and privacy policy as website pages, then pick them under Settings → Legal. Under Settings → Signup, decide whether new users need your approval.

Sign-up and legal →

Invite your staff

Add each person who runs the club under Members → Administrators. They get an email invitation if they don't have a SportyPlus account yet.

Administrators and roles →

When you've finished, open the Website tab and book a court yourself, as a member would. That is the quickest way to find a missing price or a court that isn't bookable.
