Using the member app
This section is for members and players of a club that uses SportyPlus — booking courts, paying, playing in leagues and managing your account. If you run a club, see Getting started instead.
Your club decides which features it uses, so some of what is described here may not appear in your club's app.
Where to find the app
- On the web: your club's own address followed by
/app/, for examplehttps://yourclub.com/app/. The address that shows all clubs together ishttps://my.sporty.plus/app/. - On your phone: the SportyPlus app for iPhone and Android. The web login page links to both under Get the SportyPlus mobile app.
When an update is required, the app shows Update the app.
Browsing without an account
Before you sign in you can usually look around: the home page, the club list, the court calendar, news, results, rankings, players, leagues and tournaments. Your club can switch this off, in which case you go straight to the login page.
Anything that does something — booking, joining, paying, messaging — asks you to log in or sign up first. After you log in, the app carries on with what you were doing.
Creating an account
On the login page open the Registration tab (or choose Register in the sign-up window) and fill in:
- First name and Last name, Sex (Female, Male or Other), E-mail address, Date of birth, State (your country), and a Password of at least 8 characters, twice.
- Optionally your Mobile phone number and Place (town or city).
- Accept the SportyPlus terms of use, and your club's own terms if it has them.
Choose Register and you are signed in straight away.
You can also continue with Apple, Google or Microsoft, and in some apps with DUPR. The first time you do, the app asks you to Complete your profile with your date of birth, sex and country.
Members under 16
Someone under 16 needs a parent or guardian's permission. The sign-up form asks for a Parent or guardian email; we email them a link, and the account can be used once they approve it. Until then, logging in shows Waiting for your parent or guardian, with an option to send the email again or to another guardian. Parents can also create and manage a child's profile themselves — see Family and children.
Try it first
In the phone apps and on my.sporty.plus, Try the demo club opens a demo club without signing up. Everything there resets every night.
Joining a club
Signing up is not the same as being a member of a club. On your club's home page:
- If the club accepts anyone, choose Join the club (the button may say Sign up). You can book straight away.
- If the club approves new members, open the club's page and choose Send membership request. The club's staff accept you; until then some of the club's pages stay hidden.
- If the club requires a paid membership before you can book, the home page shows Buy membership — see Memberships and payments.
Switching clubs
You can be a member of several clubs. Open the menu and pick one of Your clubs, or choose Find a club... to search the list or the map. In the phone apps the app switches in place; on the web you go to that club's own address.
To leave a club, tap the × next to it in the menu, or go to Edit profile → List of clubs you are a member of → Unsubscribe.
Finding your way around
- The menu (top left) lists the club's sections: Court Booking, Players, Coaches, Results, Leagues, Tournaments, News, About the club and others your club has switched on.
- Your picture (top right) opens your own menu: Edit profile, My profile, My reservations, My orders, My family, Connected accounts, Sign-in and security, Notifications, Messages, Report a problem and Log out.
- The home page shows widgets your club has chosen, such as your next reservation, your membership, your wallet balance and upcoming competitions. Tapping the club name at the top always brings you back home.
Getting help
- Something wrong at the club — a light out on a court, an empty vending machine, a refund — or something wrong with the app: use Report a problem. See Getting help.
- A question about your club's rules or prices: your club sets them; About the club shows its contact details, courts, memberships and booking rules.
- A question about SportyPlus itself: write to info@sporty.plus.
